Trichotillomania is a physical representation of the psychological and physical experience of compulsive hair pulling in communication with my personal experience. Intended to be an interactive piece, enticing strands of different textures bring the viewer to follow along with their fingers all around the room, eventually leading to the balding blanket and door to exit. The viewer is presented with the option to continue this journey or exit, a simple choice that, for me, feels inescapably more difficult to choose the latter. 

My intention with this piece is to bring to light a common yet often unheard of "disorder" that I have experience my whole life, trying to communicate this experience with those who do not know it.
